Dear Moira Guys

This is such a difficult time for all of us and I just wanted you to know some of my thoughts as you take stock and consider the future.

You have lost so much, not only a rider but a true friend- a genuine good guy. Even saying Andrew was one in a million is an understatement. On our wedding day I walked down the isle knowing that I could search the world twice over and not find a better husband - and I was right. There was, is and only ever will be, one Andrew Neill.

I want you all to know just how much the Moira Club meant to him. It was truly an honour and a privilege for him to be offered the opportunity to ride for the Moira Motorcycle Racing Club. A Club with a long history in the sport that he loved, and a bunch of guys who are involved in sponsorship for all the right reasons. Not because of names or glory, but to give decent guys a chance to compete on machinery more competitive than they themselves could afford. And perhaps most of all, to really enjoy their racing without pressure or hassle. Andrew did this knowing that no matter what, you were all one hundred percent behind him, and that he mattered to you more than anything else.

And did he do you proud at the TT this year ! I know he was so pleased to have achieved what he did for you.

Andrew hated missing a club meeting (although on the odd occasion he would forget !).

He knew he didnt have to be there, he wanted to be there. That says alot for you guys, the craic you had and the high regard he held you in - he loved the Moira Club.

He loved how straight forward and uncomplicated working with you was. On many occasions he would say to me, "you don't get this sh*t from the Moira Club.

Knowing all of this, and what your support meant to Andrew. I would encourage you not to deprive another rider of your support, and of the experience of being involved with you. It gave Andrew such a boost to be recognised as worthy of being given a bike to race. The Moira Club meant the world to him and I want to thank you for everything you did for Andrew. Thank you for helping him achieve all that he did in the sport that he loved.

Road racing is having a tough time at the moment and what I would say is this - " the sport needs all the Moira Motorcycle Racing Clubs it can get. It is people like you who are the very heart of road racing".

While I do wish that road racing hadn't taken Andrew away from me, I would never have taken road racing away from Andrew. He loved it too much, and I loved him too much.

Living with the consequences is tough, more than tough, but I know onething for sure, he would want you to keep on doing exactly what you are doing.

Yours
