Cookstown 100 2008
The 2008 Irish road racing
Friday night (Practice) was dry for a while and very wet later on.
Saturday (Race) Dry & windy turning to very sunny later on.
Andrew's first race of the day was the Lightweight 125cc race. Andrew was
riding the Wray Brothers Honda and finished 5th with his best time of
1.39.625.
The 600cc Supersport race B was the race for Andrew and the Moira club
bike. After 6 laps of the 2.1 mile circuit Andrew finished 6th and a fast time
of 1.30.7. The winner Andrew Courtney was only 9.1 seconds in front of
Andrew.
The last race for the Moira R6 and Andrew Neill was the Cookstown 100
Race B. Andrew started very well and pushed up the ranks. With only
12seconds behind William Dunlop, Andrew finished a very well deserved
3rd place. Andrew's fastest lap time was 1.30.396
