Birthday Boy Burrows celebrates with new machinery

John Burrows, one of Irelands top road racers had an added birthday present, when he was told he was the Moira MRCs chosen rider for the forthcoming season, on board their 600 Honda, and a special one at that, as it is an ex Keith Amor machine.

The Moira MRC, which recently celebrated 30 years of support to motorcycle racing, having supported riders with such calibre as Woolsley Coulter, Gary Dynes, Dave Leach, Andrew Neil, Gary Jess , but to name a few

Earlier in the year, the club had taken Southern rider David Lumsden on board, but unfortunately, this deal failed to materialize, and the club was again on the outlook for another rider.

Moira MRC Club chairman, Colly Walker stated,” that following our rather short lived association with David Lumsden, the club began looking around for another rider to ride the bike, and we had quite a few guys interested in riding for us, It wasn’t an easy decision for the club, however, Johns professional approach to the sport, and his popularity amongst the public, coupled with the fact he is a excellent rider, certainly made him a favorite choice for the club

 I got to know John through Andrew Neill at the races, I always admired Johns professionalism and the effort he put into his machinery they always turned out immaculate. I am really pleased we have John riding our bike this year and we, as a club, look forward to working with him”.

John Burrows “ I am chuffed to have been asked to ride for the Moira MRC, Before I started racing, I always admired the Moira MRC team, top class riders on good machinery, backed by an enthuastic club. I have met up with the club, and together I hope I can repay the faith they have shown in me, and I am certainly looking forward to riding the Honda . I am also honored to be riding for the club, as I was great friends with Andrew Neil, who is held in high esteem by the club.
